What invalidates the license, what does not, and how replacement works for a new machine.
What does not invalidate the license
The software identifies the computer by a set of characteristics, not a single one. It still recognises the machine after you:
- replace the drive, including a fresh Windows install on the new one;
- replace the memory;
- replace the network card, because the MAC address is not part of the identity;
- reinstall Windows.
The rule is simple: while most of the characteristics stay the same, it is the same computer as far as the license is concerned.

Replacing the motherboard and processor together, which in practice means building a different machine.
I changed computers: how replacement works
The license is tied to the computer it was activated on and is not transferred to another machine. When the original computer is replaced, retired or stops being used, the path is a replacement license: a new license, at 30% of the software's current price.
Write to support with:
- the activation code;
- the email used for the purchase;
- what happened to the original machine.
You receive the payment link for the replacement and activate the software on the new computer with the new code.
I need both machines at once
That is the usual case of taking a spare laptop to the event. That is not a move. It is an additional license for the same holder. Get in touch.
Before you reformat: take the events with you
The license is one thing; your events are another. Before switching machines, create a backup from inside the program. It produces a single file with the database and the audio. On the new machine, restore that file and everything comes back: participants, companies, grids and history.
